Veteran Suicide Must End. Erasing their Debt is Where to Start
It’s Everything, Everywhere, All at Once for End Veteran Debt, Partners and Allies

As you might know from reading our March newsletter, even as young as End Veteran Debt (EVD) is in launching Operation Debt-Day, public and Veteran interest and participation is blossoming. In addition to the events and work the newsworthy featured, there are many things afoot.
Let’s hit some highlights not highlighted. 😊
EVD will host its first-ever Veteran Debt Summit. It will be held at the Higgins Hotel adjacent to the WWII museum on June 4, 5, and 6 (the last being D-Day, which we have renamed Debt-Day).
Operation Debt-Day is patterned after similar summits I developed for the charity I co-founded in 2014 called RIP Medical Debt. They were powerful, the last one with panels chaired by leading members of the press, and attracted considerable attention. Undoubtedly, this was essential to enabling us over the past 10 years to abolish $15B in medical debt for 2M Americans.
We intend to have that same impact for veterans.
The second event of interest is that Mike Williams and I will serve as co-speakers at Ilene Proctor’s unique Great Minds Salon, hosted at a private apartment suite in Marina del Rey (CA) on Sunday, June 13. Guests must RSVP and donate $25 at the door to hear what we have to say—or listen to, in Mike’s case. If you or friends of yours are in the neighborhood, let us know, and we’ll send invites.
Speaking of Mike Williams, we are pleased to point you to his interview with our very own Pat Lynch of Women’s Radio.
Staten Island’s Veteran Task Force is unstoppable
Huzzahs to Mike Matthews of the SIPPS Veteran Task Force, co-fundraising $50K with EVD to bring fresh to share with his Staten Island community and help abolish $1M in veteran debt nationally. He has arranged for me to meet with several notable organizations there, all of whom we feel will donate to his campaign.

Lastly, Jerry has been invited to speak at – get this – a collection industry conference hosted by Credit and Collection News. A quote from their newsletter: “And don't miss Jerry Ashton speaking on helping Veteran Debt - one of the leading causes of Veteran Suicide.”
I expect to get their rapt attention.
Art is long and space is short, so let me ask you to click on all the links you find of interest, and list the work calling you to action. (In my experience, the Universe doesn’t reward thought; it does reward action.)
Let’s make that difference.
